Project DIO // First Illustrations
Project status: Active
Status: 25% Illustrations done
The first finished illustrations are done, and they're ready to be animated! I've tried to do them in order so I can start putting the shots together (just still, no animation yet) and compose elements accordingly.

Project: DIO // Story Reel
Project status: Active
Status: Story reel
Status: Story reel
The story reel is done to check on the timing of the animation sequences (you can't do that with a still storyboard), and to adjust accordingly. If you recognize the other characters in the video, then you know what this is going to be about :)
Next step is digital illustrations. Characters, backgrounds, props, everything. I better start soon.

This were some of the first finished drawings I did for my 2D short film, an homage to a great musician and a true test to my abilities as a digital artist. More to come soon!

Project: Tenebrae Vigilans // mini-comic
Project status: On hiatus
Stage: Mini-comic
EDIT: This is the revamped version of the only comic I wrote for my vigilante gothic-creatures. I basically took the Gor story and tweaked it a little to fit a mini-comic format (it was for another comic contest I was gonna enter). So who knows if this will be what Tenebrae Vigilans is about. Time will tell.
The basic story is, two drunken guys return home from a party where they drank heavily and met some easy ladies (both are married and have kids), and share their stories of the night. They walk by a cute girl, without knowing that she (and her friend) will be their judge, jury and executioner...
Project: Alice in Chains video // Chr Dsgn
Project status: On hiatus
Stage: Character design / Storyboard
These are the (almost) final character designs for my Alice in Chains 2D music video; the four original members of the grunge group plus a new character (not new singer William Duvall... sorry).

Project: 'Stargazer' // Storyboard v.3.0
Project status: On hiatus
Stage: Animatic
This was the third storyboard that I completed for 'Stargazer', then being called 'The Astronomer' (this is also the name of a great cover of the original song). A quick 24-panel storyboard that showed what the short movie as well as the song, is about: A wizard that, being all-powerful and immortal, is alone and tries to create a tower high enough to reach the sun. But I added an extra layer of plot: He does it because he misses someone...
Here is that cover:
Project: Eddie Capac flag // Design & final product
Project status: Completed
Stage: final output
This is the flag I designed for the Iron Maiden concert here in Peru. You can see the process from sketch to final design, and from the printing press to the concert. Yeah!
Project: Tenebrae Vigilans // Additional Character sketches
Project status: On hiatus
Stage: Mini-comic
These extra sketches were made for the mini-comic I'll be posting soon. You can see a change of style (the project doesn't have a definite style yet), a few more characters (friends, siblings?, maybe romantic interests)

Project: Doom of Gods // Comic storyboard
Project status: Deceased
Stage: Storyboard
This was done as a mini-comic's storyboard to participate in a national comic contest (which I finally didn't); after withdrawing from the comic I was supposed to do with Ken I thought this introduction to the comic would look great as a 6-page mini comic. Who know what might have happened if I had had time to participate?

Stage: Mini-comic
A project I had in the back of my mind for too long, my obsession with gothic girls, their culture and their makeup :) I finally created two heroines for future uses, which I haven't decided yet... I only did a mini-comic storyboard, but I might use them for an animation (maybe an M rated one... don't ask.) or a bigger comic book. Or just to draw naughty pictures, who knows :D Hahaha
Project: Lord of the Rings comic // Storyboard (no dialogue)
Project status: On hiatus
Stage: Storyboard
One of those projects you never expect to finish, this was an idea I had one afternoon to tell an untold story from the Last Alliance between Men and Elves, from the eyes of an Elf Warrior. I had a clear idea of what to draw, what I didn't have were the texts for all the dialogues. If you feel like helping me with this, please, do so. That's all it needs to get on its feet.

Project: Dark Twist // Character Designs
Project status: Deceased?
Stage: Script
A friend from a postproduction company decided to create a sci-fi 3D animated short, so I offered my help designing the characters for it, while some other friends helped with the ship designs, the backgrounds, 3d modeling, and so on. We were working at a steady pace when suddenly he stopped mentioning the project, and to tell you the truth, I never asked him what happened. Maybe it will revive one day, it's just a matter of waiting (and of asking him).

I have no idea what to do with him (and the story I wrote), maybe a comic (could be) an animation (not likely), but I'll get back to him someday. Meanwhile, here is Gor.

I was approached by a shirt company (can't remember who they were) to get one of my designs on a shirt. Of course, once I got the design ready for printing, I never heard from them again. If you ever see this on a shirt please let me know, mmkay?
Project: Doom of Gods // Character Design
Project status: Deceased
Stage: Storyboard
A fellow DeviantArt user approached me four years ago to help him with a script he had done for a comic book. It was based on the events that lead up to Ragnarök or the end of the world in the Norse mythology, and it was called Doom of the Gods. We started throwing ideas back and forth, but when he asked for a bigger commitment that I could not offer (due to current projects/work), I had to back out of the project. I don't know if he ever got the book done, or if he just moved on to bigger and better things, so here is what I did for that project.
Project: Stargazer // first sketches
Project status: On hiatus
Stage: Animatic
When I was working on a certain animated movie that never saw the light, I did a rough sketch -obviously influenced by Rainbow's song "Stargazer"- that depicted a wizard erecting a monumental stone tower that could almost reach the sun. It was crude, but it gave me the idea that would become my own animation project, [ Stargazer ].
A few months after that drawing, I started sketching out ideas for the main character, changing things from the original Wizard design for the movie. This are some of those sketches.
The video, for those who haven't heard the song before... warning; it has the power to change your life.
